Miracles......

Mostly good news from Texas and we couldn't be more thankful.  Andrea is doing really well.  Dr. Lee said he cannot believe how well she is doing and will probably be discharged this weekend, but will just move to a small room by the Nic U.  She was able to hold the baby for the first time tonight and that is such a huge blessing.
Dr. Lee is not of our faith but has repeatedly said he knows he and the entire team had additional help that night.  He posted on his facebook page (without naming who it was) how Heavenly Father guided them that night.  He is still shocked at the outcome.
Ben is doing pretty good. Andrea was able to take a q-tip and put a little milk on his lips and tongue. They also fed him for the lst time yesterday with her milk through one of his lines.  So far he has tolerated that well.
They have done two echo-cardiograms on him and a valve that is suppose to close after birth has still not closed but they will repeat the test Monday and we are praying it will be closed by then.  They are optimistic  because he seems to be doing well in every other way.  We will especially be praying for that valve to close.
In an email Jer sent to us, he said that Ben appears to have a little bit of a temper as he continues to pull out his various lines.  We all got a big laugh out of his next statement which said, "He appears to take after his mother."
LET ME JUST SAY.....IT WAS GOOD TO LAUGH!!
Shannon brought her kids over this afternoon and it has been good to have them here to keep our minds from worrying so much.
We have also had a change in plans since Andrea's sister's boy broke his arm yesterday and she needs to come home sooner.  Max, Kathy, and Holly will bring the boys home (fly to Las Vegas) Monday night.  The boys will have to miss 4 days of school and then the next week is their spring break.  We think having them here will free Jer and Andrea to focus totally on Ben.....and get the boys away from the stress.  Then Shad and I will take the boys back on Mar. 15th...Shad will return Mar. 22nd , and I will stay as long as needed.
Again we want to thank everyone for their prayers......they are making a difference...WE CONTINUE TO SEE MIRACLES.
