Donald, David, Steven, and Kimberly are the children of Doug and Arleen Bates that Shad baptized while serving his mission in Southern CA. We often get letters from Arleen (who is now suffering from MS....and Doug passed away), but she thanks Shad for bringing the gospel to their family. All four of their children served missions, were married in the Temple (we were able to attend 2 of those weddings) and are now raising righeous families.
If you live long enough....this is what you have..... the joy of seeing great blessings from missionary work. Perhaps that is the reason that we have such a missionary minded family that blesses our lives. We are so thankful for missionary blessings.
