wELcomE...welcome.....Thomas Shadrach Bridges!

Needless to say, there was much rejoicing in the Bridges family when Tommy was born!  What a precious baby to be the center of attention in their home!

Look at those cheeks.  THEY WERE SO ROUND AND HE ACTUALLY LIKED ME KISSING THEM THEN......NOW HE SAYS, " NO KISSES...JUST HUGS!"   I really miss kissing those cheeks!
He loves sports.....all sports....and it wasn't long until he had joined Janessa's T-Ball team.  He loved every minute of it.  We loved watching how he really got into the game.  As I look at this picture, I can't believe he was so young and yet so intense about playing ball!
He was just a toddler when he began to look forward to any chance he had to play with his "boy cousins".  Nothing makes Tommy happier than hanging out with his male cousins.  I guess the girl's dressed him up too much because he loves everything about being a rough and tumble boy!  For his birthday.....last Sat. his dad took him to a Jazz Game in SLC.....just the two of them.  He was in heaven!
In this picture that smile may have been a little forced!  He loves each member of his family and plays very well with them, but at this time, he thought he would forever be "DOUBLE GIRL TRAPPED."   There was no need to force a smile when they welcomed Luke into the world in Oct.  He was one happy boy!
Tommy really got into soccer this last season.  We loved seeing the games we could get to, and we hated missing the ones we couldn't!  He was so much fun to watch, and really got into the skills and the games much more than he had before!  Way to hustle Tommy!  It was a great season!!
THE LOOK ON TOMMY'S FACE SAYS IT ALL!!!  This is a picture of Tommy holding Luke for the first time....only an hour after he was born.  I don't know if I have ever seen him so excited and so happy!  He has continued to be such a great big brother!  He really loves making Luke smile, and just talking to him.  I was so happy for him when Luke joined their family.....because I knew he was experiencing true joy!

Some things that make Tommy so special.......He loves to read and he reads so well.  In fact he reads more fluently than most adults.  He loves math and everything about school...especially recess.  He takes piano and gymnastics and he is really giving them both his best effort....and does fantastic!  He loves building things with Lego's and when he has built something, he puts it up high where his little sisters can't "break it".  He really doesn't like kisses...so I have to be careful and do hugs only.

He loves to spend one on one time with his dad.  He is always so happy when he gets to do things with his dad and can't wait until Luke is old enough to go to the church "Father and Sons" outings. He has been talking about that since before Luke was born!

Well.....today is your 7th birthday and we hope it is everything you want it to be Tommy!  WE LOVE YOU SO000000 VERY MUCH AND WE ARE SO THANKFUL TO HAVE YOU  AS OUR GRANDSON!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU FROM ME (AND GRANDPY)!
