She was the older cousin before she was the big sister.....and she loved that role. She always had such a great time with her cousins. She is with Jake in this picture. They are still very close.
Grandma Bev and Grandpa Raz gave her this swing set for her 2nd birthday. We also got a wonderful surprise when she announced that she was going to be a big sister.
Shortly after their move to Ephraim, Tommy joined their family, and Allie became the "third" parent. We always call the oldest child the "third" parent because they are so responsible...and she is very dependable.
We have been able to watch many of Allie's performances and games (we are thankful they have always lived so close). She has always been so appreciative of us being there. I love this picture of her with Grandpy!
Allie has never been able to get too much cousin time. Her cousin's have been her first and her very best friends. We feel very blessed that it has always been this way!
Look at those smiles when Madelyn joined the family. It is fun that they don't need friends to come and play....they can play with their own siblings. Allie continued to take on more responsibilities and never complained. What a good girl that we love so much!
We always loved this picture that was taken of Allie on her first Christmas! She was so cute as she posed for these pictures. She made our Christmas complete. Love you J-Bug!
Amberly took this beautiful Baptismal picture of Allie. She was so excited about getting baptized. I think she could have interviewed the Bishop about baptism.
Christmas morning has always been a favorite time for Allie. They always have to wait at the top of the stairs before going downstairs to see what Santa brought. It is a tradition that she loves.
Allie had her first experience playing basketball this year. She loved it and did such a great job (although she says she still likes soccer better).
As a grandmother....it is hard to comprehend that she is my second grandchild that is now in Young Women's , yet when I see the kind of testimony she has developed, I know that is where she needs to be. She actually gives me ideas of things I can teach and do with my Young Women.
I think the thing that made me realize how mature she really has become, is when I hear her talk about Ben. She KNOWS that even though his body and spirit are separated right now.....she also KNOWS that she will have the chance to be a part of his life when he is resurrected and that we will all be a part of a reunited family.
Shad and I had a chance (we had never had before) to have Allie and Janessa stay with us for a couple of days. I had a chance to have many one on one talks with Allie. She "gets" things that many twelve year olds don't understand. She truly has a testimony of her own. She knows her strengths, and although I think she has weaknesses, she understands the things she would like to work on. I just don't know many girl's her age that have such maturity. I can truthfully say that she was a true joy ....we loved having her and Janessa here. I hope her parents will let them do this again. She has grown from my little Bug a Boo to a beautiful young woman and we love her forever and ever. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLIE!! WE COULDN'T LOVE YOU MORE!
