one...ALREADY!!!

Nothing to start your Labor early like a Halloween Carnival.....and then being over the Primary Program at church the next day!   Yes....Shannon was having contractions all during the program!

You were a welcome surprise our little Lukey Tukey....(as your sister call you)

In this short year.....you have been dragged from ballgames to track meets.....from school programs to church programs.   It is a good thing that you are such a mellow and happy little guy.

When I look into your eyes....I see glimpses of heaven.  You were there such a short time ago.  I know you were there with your cousin Ben....I know you knew the plan...and sometimes when I look into your eyes, I wish that the veil could be as thin for me as it is for you.  I know you have a special guardian angel.....as do we all!
I am so grateful that we live close enough that you never forget me.  I love to hear you talk and squeal....your squeal is unique.  Not long ago you were here for church and I didn't know where you were.....then I HEARD THE SQUEAL...AND I KNEW EXACTLY WHERE YOU WERE!
You are very patient with being passed from siblings to cousins.  You have already learned to "roll with the punches".

Most of all I love the way you put your forehead against mine when you give me hugs.....and I love your wet kisses.  They are the best.  Thank you Luke for bringing a piece of Heaven into our lives.  We LOVE YOU  MORE THAN WE COULD EVER SAY AND WE HOPE THAT YOU FEEL OF THAT LOVE FOREVER AND EVER!  HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY OUR SWEET LUKE!
