Some things never change....thank heaveans!

I found this old picture to go with this post.  Paula would laugh if she saw it.   Paula and Rog have been our best friends for nearly 40 years.  I would say it is a friendship that has weathered the test of time.  There have been highs and lows....but as Heavenly Father continues to watch out for me....he does it through people (and he has often done it through my dear friend Paula).
I would say that I have probably been as depressed these past few weeks as I have ever been in my life.  I don't know why missing Ben is getting harder.....but maybe I just need his Heavenly presence with me more right now.  TO REALLY KNOW  HE IS HERE...I JUST NEED TO FEEL HIM HERE!  (IT IS A GOOD THING GENERAL CONFERENCE IS COMING....I REALLY NEED IT).
Paula and I really don't talk on the phone much....she hasn't seemed to like the phone as much since she had her stroke, but YESTERDAY as I was indulging myself .....in self pity (which I know is one of Satan's greatest tools).....PAULA CALLED....JUST TO TALK!   ONE OF THE MOST WONDERFUL THINGS ABOUT TALKING WITH PAULA IS THAT I KNOW WHAT I SAY TO HER.....STAYS WITH HER!  I ALSO KNOW SHE WILL NOT JUDGE ME BUT SHE WILL UNDERSTAND AND JUST LISTEN.....WOW DID I NEED THAT!

SO TODAY I AM THANKFUL FOR THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE....THERE ARE OTHERS...THAT LISTEN, DON'T JUDGE, AND LET ME VENT!  IT REMINDS ME OF THE SONG MY KIDS USED TO SING WHEN THEY WERE LITTLE....."SOMETIMES YOU'VE JUST GOT TO YELL AND SCREAM."  I GUESS I NEEDED THAT!
