Many years we have had a family...or 2 not come!

Ty's sweet smile.....

Tommy and Janessa....the best of pals.......

Bradshaw's and Bridges making gingerbread houses at Aunt Shannon's.  Grandpy likes a little frosting on his nose.

Missing the Rochester Bradshaw's in this Christmas picture.

One thing I have learned from Elder Holland's book is that when we are depressed, we are not as capable of lifting others.  We need to overcome the despair and gain higher ground if we are going to be able to serve and lift others up.  Our experiences may help us as we serve and lift, but not if they are making us drown in sorrow.  Again, this is not saying that we won't go through the grieving process, we just need to gain an eternal perspective.  We will never be the same people we were before this tragedy.  I have already had others come to me for help to get through similar experiences that I could only help if I had felt this pain myself.
