Not only has it been our first Christmas without Ben, but our dear friends (we consider family)...The Salina's family are experiencing much pain. It is hard to explain how we got so close to so many or the ward members in McAllen. I especially did because I was there for such a long time and the people there....well...they are just the best people you could ever find. Lisa's mom (my age) passed away on Christmas Eve Day...after battling cancer. I had also been very close to her. My heart breaks for Lisa, her family, and all of their family. I wish I could be there for her as she was there for us. You can't imagine the food she brought in or the times we just cried together. I wish I could be there for her mom's services and to show them how much we love and support them. I can't imagine how Jer and Andrea feel....I was there for such a short time yet I love them so deeply.
She said her mom told her that she would give Ben a big, warm hug. That melts my heart.
